Eidsbel Aleman Website

Eidsbel Aleman's website was crafted as a dedicated platform for the artist to showcase her diverse talents. With a vision to present herself as an integrated artist excelling in dance, singing, and performance, as well as a skilled writer of monologues, she aimed to share her artistry with a global audience. Given her residence in Italy and performances throughout Europe, the website includes a functional language switch between Italian and English, offering a seamless experience for visitors from different linguistic backgrounds. This project stands as a significant milestone for me, representing my inaugural work integrating both UI design and frontend development.

The Concept

The artist had a strong desire for the color red to play a prominent role in her webpage, as she believes it encapsulates her identity. She sought to integrate professional photographs and videos, captured in collaboration with a skilled photographer. Drawing inspiration from her previous blog-style website, she desired the content to be presented in a similar format but with a responsive design for optimal viewing across devices. Additionally, she wished to incorporate a "Contact Me" section to disseminate information about her classes.

Challenges

Designing and coding Eidsbel Aleman's website presented a unique set of challenges as it marked my first experience working with a client. Integrating my code with a service and domain provided by the client introduced new complexities to the development process. The hosting server information, predominantly in Italian, posed an additional hurdle, requiring me to navigate a language unfamiliar to me. Despite these challenges, the project provided immense growth opportunities. It compelled me to adapt and learn swiftly, fostering a deeper understanding of client collaboration and the intricacies of web development within an international context. The experience not only enhanced my technical skills but also sharpened my ability to overcome obstacles, expanded my skill set and contributed to the overall success of the website.
